Help Shape the VODG AI Leadership Academy

Help us shape VODG’s new AI Leadership Academy. We’re bringing together a small group of member CEOs to test our thinking, identify the leadership questions that matter most and help develop an offer that delivers real value across the membership

We’re developing a new leadership programme to help VODG members navigate the opportunities, questions and decisions emerging around AI, and we’d like a small number of member CEOs to help us shape it.

AI is developing quickly, but for chief executives the challenge is about much more than technology. It raises strategic questions about organisational readiness, governance, risk, investment, workforce, leadership and where AI could genuinely create value for the people and communities organisations support.

That thinking is behind the development of the VODG AI Leadership Academy, a proposed year-long programme designed specifically for VODG member organisations. Rather than technical AI training, the Academy will focus on helping leaders build the confidence, knowledge and organisational capability to make informed and responsible decisions about AI.

The emerging model will bring together an executive leader and an implementation lead from each participating organisation, combining strategic leadership with practical organisational action. Participants will explore readiness, governance and responsible adoption, consider a genuine organisational challenge, learn alongside peers and specialists, and build the evidence needed to decide where AI should be adopted, adapted, scaled or, equally importantly, where it should not be pursued.

Help Us Shape It

Before we move to the next stage, we want to ensure that the Academy is grounded in the realities our members face.

We’re therefore looking for a select number of member CEOs who would be willing to meet with us and share their experiences, questions and perspectives. You do not need to be an AI expert, and your organisation does not need to be advanced in its use of AI. In fact, we want to hear from leaders at different stages of the journey.

We’re particularly interested in understanding the questions CEOs are asking, where the opportunities and concerns lie, what support would be genuinely useful and what would make an Academy like this valuable to your organisation.

Your insight will help us challenge our thinking and develop an offer that is practical, relevant and shaped around the needs of VODG members.
