Join us for an exclusive online discussion to officially launch the VODG Spotlight on the Central Services Benchmarking Programme. This initiative aims to enhance our members' understanding and improvement of central services within their organisations.
We are pleased to announce the introduction of the VODG Central Services Benchmarking Proposal, designed specifically for our diverse membership base. To facilitate your engagement with this initiative, we have compiled a comprehensive list of resources in the Central Services Benchmarking Hub, which provides in-depth information on how to actively participate in the benchmarking process.
Over many years, VODG has engaged in benchmarking activities across our large and diverse membership, undertaking work in-house, through member-led activities, and signposting our trusted corporate partners to external benchmarking opportunities.
One of the key themes from recent feedback from member CEOs was a desire to further build on the 2024 executive pay and reward benchmark. VODG has taken this on and plans to expand into additional areas of focus alongside trusted third-party support. A CEO-led working group has been actively exploring areas of focus and potential suppliers.
Please note that if you have any accessibility requirements, we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements to support you. However, we may require up to four weeks' notice, so please list your requirements on the booking form. Closed captions are a standard feature in online meetings. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Chairman and Founder, Cordis Bright
Tom set up Cordis Bright because he wanted to offer a straightforward, intellectually robust and competitive research and consultancy service.
The aim was to provide consultancy and research outcomes that clients could use with confidence when planning for the future. It was also important to Tom that services really were complementary to the expertise and knowledge that clients brought to the table and that the final outcomes really were greater than the sum of the parts.
Although Tom is the Chairman of Cordis Bright he spends most of his time working on consultancy projects mainly with larger provider organisations.
His work is strongly focused on business development and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions, market intelligence and strategic planning. Tom has been working long-term with a range of clients providing ongoing insight and support to assist them in achieving the strategic and operational goals they have set.
As a commentator Tom has been instrumental in the development of the Cordis Briefing which has provided challenging and insightful commentary on the development of social care and supported housing for over ten years.
