STOMP STAMP Draft Standards

Over the last six months, the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG) joined Royal Colleages, NHS organisations, VCSE providers and people with lived experience on the NHS England STOMP STAMP Expert Reference Group. Together, we have worked to produce a set of professional standards and now invite VODG members, those accessing support and working across health, social care and related sectors to share their feedback.

Key Documents

The aim of the professional standards is to enable organisations to develop consistent and collaborative service delivery, with a focus on quality medication reviews, holistic and person-centred decision making and the use of non-medication strategies where appropriate.

There are nine principles themes, namely:

  • Inclusion
  • Person Centred Care
  • Reasonable Adjustments
  • Holistic Approach
  • ]Collaboration and Consistency
  • Structured Medication Review
  • Workforce Development
  • Accountability and Responsibility.

More detail on the draft standards, including detail on what the person and family can expect and what professionals must delivery, along with information on the consultation and feedback form are linked below.

NHSE's preference is for VODG to gather feedback in one form, rather than to receive lots of submissions from across our membership. We also invite those in our wider networks and alliances to comment, feeding in through us where applicable.
