VODG HR Directors' Professional Network Meeting | September 2025

Booking for the next meeting of the HR Directors' professional network is now open.

Department for Business and Trade Roadmap

Laura Welchew of Trowers and Hamlins, will be leading a session on the Department for Business and Trade Roadmap.  The session will explore the government's Implementation Roadmap (the Roadmap) for the Employment Rights Bill (the Bill). The Roadmap was published in July and sets out when the various measures under the Bill are due to come into force, as well as providing a timeframe for the consultations which will work out the detail of the measures before they are implemented. The government wants to ensure that "there is a proper business readiness period" to aid with the understanding of and preparation for the reforms "long before they come into force". The timeline in the Roadmap represents an "initial view" and may be subject to change following the consultations and the impacts they reveal in relation to proposed commencement dates. In the meantime though it's useful having some timings to work with and a knowledge of what the Roadmap says is essential to preparing for all the forthcoming reforms under the Bill. Due to the importance of this 45-minute session, CEOs and other senior leaders from our member organsiations are invited to attend.

AI for HR Professionals

Anna Dabek from Anthony Collins will be exploring the AI landscape as it affects the HR function, looking at the legal and regulatory issues around GDPR and the use of AI with potentially sensitive employee information.
