VODG has opened recruitment for three new trustees to help lead the organisation through its next chapter. Applications are invited from eligible Chief Executives across VODG’s membership by noon on Friday 30 October 2026.
The new trustees will contribute to the strategic oversight and stewardship of VODG, helping to ensure that the charity remains well governed, sustainable and focused on its mission.
Trustees are appointed to act in the best interests of VODG as a whole, rather than to represent a particular organisation or interest. However, the knowledge and experience trustees bring from leading their own organisations enriches the Board’s collective thinking and decision-making.
As part of this recruitment, VODG would particularly welcome applications from:
These areas may overlap and do not necessarily equate to one trustee vacancy each. Applications are welcomed from any eligible leader who shares VODG’s values and believes they could make a meaningful contribution.
VODG wants its Board to reflect the breadth of its membership and the people and communities its members support.
Applications are particularly encouraged from disabled and/or Deaf leaders, leaders with lived experience of disability or long-term health conditions, people from minoritised ethnic communities, and others who remain under-represented in governance and leadership roles.

VODG is committed to an accessible and inclusive recruitment process. Information about alternative formats and reasonable adjustments is available on the jobs page.
