We are pleased to announce that the next meeting of the Operations Directors' professional network is now open for booking.
We are delighted to welcome Joshua Butt, Principal Consultant at Cordis Bright as our first speaker. Fresh from the General Election result, Joshua will be presenting on policy, government and the future of social care. He will preview the potential plans of a new government and what its relationship might be towards social care in the next parliament. He will also take a look at some of the challenges that will be on the to-do list of the next Secretary of State, including local government finances, the future of CQC, workforce and more. There will be the opportunity to reflect together about what this means for the sector, and what VODG members should be planning to do next.
After a short break we will hear from Hannah Hewish, Solicitor and Legal Manager (Insight Lead) at Access Social Care on the subject of contract management and trends within councils and ASCs, before Sarah Woodhouse, Head of Policy and Influencing at VODG gives a policy update.
