VODG Learning and Development Professional Network Meeting | September 2026

Join fellow learning and development leaders from VODG member organisations for our next Learning and Development Network meeting, bringing together sector experts and peers to explore key workforce development priorities across social care.

The meeting will include a presentation from Cheryle Cox, National Workforce Capability Lead at Skills for Care, who will provide an overview of the new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification, including why it was developed, how it differs from the Care Certificate standards, the benefits for providers and staff, and available funding and access routes.

We'll also hear from NHS England on the Reasonable Adjustments Digital Flag (RADF), exploring how the system supports people with disabilities and additional needs to receive appropriate care and support. Following the presentation, members will take part in facilitated breakout discussions to share current approaches, identify key implementation challenges and discuss potential solutions.

The session will conclude with an update from Sarah Woodhouse, Director of Policy and Public Affairs at VODG, on developments relating to the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, together with an opportunity for members to shape future network topics and priorities.

Book your place today to join the conversation and stay informed.
