The next meeting of the Learning and Development Professional Network is now open for booking.
Join us for an engaging and interactive session, designed around the topics that matter most to our members right now. This event will offer valuable opportunities to share experiences, explore emerging challenges, and gain practical, actionable insights you can apply in your organisation.
Our first session will be highly interactive, inviting members to explore a key strategic issue for the sector. With government policy focused on increasing youth employment—alongside restrictions on overseas recruitment—social care providers will need to attract and support more young people into the workforce. Together, we will consider how learning and development approaches may need to evolve, how organisations can remain flexible and agile, and how best to transfer knowledge and experience from established staff to new entrants.
We will then welcome a guest speaker from Skills for Care, who will present new guidance for providers on delegated healthcare activities.
Our final session will be collaborative and discussion-led, and will build on our previous session on induction training, focusing on induction for bank staff—an area that brings unique challenges. We encourage members to come prepared with examples of effective practice from their own organisations. While we will acknowledge common difficulties, the emphasis will be on solutions, so please be ready to think creatively and contribute your expertise to a collaborative discussion.
This promises to be a lively, thought-provoking and rewarding session. We encourage you to book your place today.
