GreenGoals is an independent environmental consultancy, specialising in the development of sustainability strategies and in the measurement and monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions. We support organisations in developing strategies and pathways to reach net-zero emissions targets, and with monitoring progress towards those targets.
GreenGoals is aimed in particular at small businesses, local government and the third sector. Businesses understand the importance of sustainability to their customers, and the need to adopt climate-friendly practices. Councils provide local leadership, and are uniquely placed to influence local action to reduce emissions, either by residents or by businesses.

John Mackintosh
John is an experienced environmental performance specialist with a strong background in climate change, particularly in emissions reporting. As the founder of GreenGoals, he brings over 20 years of experience working in both Central and Local Government, with a focus on environment and transport. John previously served as the UK Government lead on greenhouse gas emissions monitoring and reporting for five years. He has developed performance management and reporting processes to help meet emissions targets and has a proven ability to establish evidence bases for critical decisions. John is also skilled in advising senior decision-makers and non-specialists on complex environmental issues.
