07 Aug 2023
Our apologies for the delay in our response but we are now pleased to announce that the recorded video of the “We Deserve Better” webinar is now available for viewing, giving you the chance to catch up on the valuable insights shared by individuals with lived experiences, researchers, and experts in the field. You can access the video on YouTube through the following link: https://youtu.be/5SoOV8dXoO8.

We encourage all delegates, both those who attended and those who missed the live event, to take advantage of this resource. By watching or revisiting the webinar, you will gain a deeper understanding of the barriers to healthcare faced by ethnic minorities with learning disabilities and the efforts being made to address these challenges.

Feel free to share the video link with your colleagues and networks, as it presents an invaluable opportunity for collective learning and advocacy to improve healthcare access and experiences for all.

We would also like to share the video that was shown in the webinar. You can watch it on YouTube at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fipBiUZG-rs. The video features insightful discussions by individuals with lived experiences and researchers, shedding light on the barriers to healthcare faced by themselves and others with learning disabilities from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Moreover, we’d like to share the "We Deserve Better: Ethnic Minorities with a Learning Disability and Access to Healthcare" report. As we all know it offers a deep insight, using mixed research methods, into the access and experiences of healthcare services for people with learning disabilities from Black, South Asian (Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi heritage), and other minority ethnic backgrounds.

As we continue our collective efforts to create a more equitable healthcare system, we invite you to share this information with your colleagues and networks to amplify our message and inspire action.

Thank you once again for your support and dedication to advancing the cause of equitable healthcare. Your commitment strengthens our resolve to foster positive change in the lives of individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds with learning disabilities.

Should you have any inquiries or wish to engage further in our initiatives, please do not hesitate to contact us.
