NHS England has asked VODG for help in finding providers in the South West who could help with a project around learning disability and autism. The details are below. If you can help please email directly.
We have a region wide project that is focusing on improving the Pathway of support for people with a learning disability and autistic people who present with behaviours that challenge others. Part of that project is looking to develop digestible information for families, social care providers and health staff on how to create the best possible environments for individuals.
The group undertaking this work is being led by an expert by experience who is a mother and also an interior designer by profession. The group will be reviewing existing good practice guidance and then developing briefings to help people.
We would value having a couple of social care providers on the group to bring their expertise and my first thought was to approach VODG.
Any help in identifying people who might be interested from the South West region would be fantastic
