This year VODG will be attending Reform UK, Liberal Democrat, labour and Green Party conferences and engaging with Conservative MPs, Councillors and Peers back in Westminster.

At each of the conferences we will be meeting with key stakeholders while at the Lib Dem and Labour conference we will be holding events that focus on what's needed to ensure the National Care Service meets the needs of disabled people and the vital role VCFSE organisations have in delivering social care and support.

Invite-Only Roundtables

At both the Liberal Democrat and Labour Party conferences we are working with members including Community Integrated Care, Hft, Dimensions, Reside with Progress, Sense and Turning Point to organise roundtable meetings to discuss building a National Care Service that meets the needs of disabled people. These meetings will bring together key stakeholders, elected members and disabled people to discuss what good would look like as Baroness Casey continues her national conversation on care.

Care and Support Rally

In partnership with the Future Social Care Coalition, Care & Support Alliance, Community Integrated Care, Mencap and the National Care Forum, we are holding a 'Care About Care' Rally. Find out more and book a free place here (outside the secure zone, no pass required).

VODG at the Polimapper Stand

Throughout Labour Party Conference we are inviting VODG Members to invite their MP to come along to the Polimapper stand (E6) in the exhibition hall where they will be sharing VODG commissioned data on disability prevalance, SEND and the latest social security data, by constituency. This is a great way to inform local MPs and start a conversation on the importance of VCFSE provision of social care support.
