Using the Law – Zoom Workshop 23 March 2.00-3.30pm
Building “People Power” is vital to our movement. Part of the power problem is that often people don’t know what their rights are and how the law can be used to ensure those rights are respected. If people don’t know the laws or how to challenge unfair practice it can make it hard to get what you’re entitled to. As part of a bigger project with legal charity Access Social Care we are planning to run a series of zoom workshops to explore increasing people power by using the law.
The focus of this first workshop will be to talk about some of the challenges people face in Social Care where they feel unsure about their rights and the laws that protect those rights. We want your input here, so that we make sure we are focusing on the issues that matter.
At this webinar we will also talk with you about the bigger project with Access Social Care (ASC). The wider aim is to share “Public Legal Education” and provide opportunities for people to have input on resources, tools, and training. We also hope through this project to be able to identify repeated barriers and develop better alternatives to influence things including a legal “chat bot”.
If you want to hear about the project and about opportunities in which you can be involved please register here.
