Update on NHS England’s to Return to the Department of Health and Social Care

Subject to the Health Bill, NHS England will return to DHSC on 1 April 2027. Most national functions will move into a new NHS Group within DHSC, while the seven regional teams will be hosted separately. There will also be a new Patient Experience Director and the first Clinical Council.
