The Universal Credit and Personal Independence Bill has been laid before Parliament – the main piece of legislation in the government’s current welfare reform agenda, seeking to make provision to alter the rates of elements of UC and restrict eligibility for PIP. The Bill starts in the Commons and is due to have its second reading on 1 July.
