‘Transforming Mental Health and Psychosocial Disability Support' conference plus Innvovation Awards, from EASPD and TENENET
Registrations for our May conference ‘Guaranteeing Choice and Control: Transforming Mental Health and Psychosocial Disability Support' are now open.
The conference will take place on Monday 20th May-Tuesday 21st May 2024 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bratislava, Slovakia. We are very happy to be partnering with our member TENENET for this conference. The two-day event will address the critical issues which stem from a mental health system which is often rooted in a medicalised paradigm and will explore how we can move towards the provision of person-centred, community and recovery-based mental health services rooted in human rights principles.
Innovation Awards
Within the framework of this conference, we are also hosting the 2024 iteration of our Innovation Awards. These awards aim to highlight innovation and new approaches in developing high-quality services that promote the full participation and inclusion in society of all persons with disabilities. This edition will award practices that support individuals with mental health conditions and psychosocial disabilities to have equal opportunities to live independently and participate in the community including gaining employment and having access to education and training, etc. Five innovation winners will receive an award during the conference as well as one travel grant of up to €600 to attend the event and a conference fee waiver. Winners will have the opportunity to present their work at a workshop and stand during the conference to promote their organisation and practice.
The awards are open to all service providers who wish to submit an application. Find out more and apply here
