A range of reports and resources from DWP following the publication of the Chancellor of the Exchequer's Spring Statement, which confirmed government plans to overhaul disability benefits, along with other measures.

As you will know, the Chancellor of the Exchequer has delivered the Spring Statement today, which confirmed the government's plans announced in the “Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working” Green Paper last week.
 
Additionally, two further measures have been included in the welfare package to increase the level of savings achieved across the scorecard: 
  • Freezing the new lower rate of the Universal Credit Health element for new claimants from 2026/27 to 2029/30.
  • Increasing the Standard Allowance by c. £1pw less than originally planned.
