Invitation to Co-produce a Diagnostic Toolkit

SCIE is developing a ‘Co-production diagnostic toolkit’ to support meaningful partnership working between people who draw on care and support, carers, and professionals, and seeks contributors.

SCIE is seeking contrbutors to a new co-production project. From SCIE:

Invitation to co-produce a ‘Co-production diagnostic toolkit’ for adult social care

Co-production with people with lived experience of social care underpins and informs everything we do at SCIE, enabling us to recommend best practice in social care. To help others maximise their co-production practices we are developing a ‘Co-production diagnostic toolkit’ to support meaningful partnership working between people who draw on care and support, carers, and professionals. This toolkit aims to improve co-production practices and align with best practices, including the CQC assessment framework.

Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) describes co-production as: “Co-production is when people come together as equals to make decisions or create services that work for them all. This always includes people who draw on care and support and or carers, usually alongside people who work in care and support. It is based on the idea that those who draw on care and support are best placed to decide how it should work."

To ensure this toolkit truly reflects the needs of those it will serve, we invite you to get involved. Your experience and insights are invaluable in shaping a practical, user-friendly tool that supports inclusive decision-making.

Opportunities to contribute include:

  • Workshops, focus groups, and interviews to share experience and insights

  • Surveys and feedback forms to shape content and structure

  • Task and finish group participation for in-depth partnership working.

Our first survey is available here.

By participating in this work, you will play a key role in improving co-production in social care.
