The NHS Proxy (Digital) Proxy Access Programme wants proxy access to provide a single, consistent way for a trusted individual to be able to manage health and care actions for someone else, enabling them to undertake actions such as book and cancel GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions etc.
The Programme is currently defining the information standard and legal basis for setting up proxy relationships. This will cover all ages of patients. If you have any experience, case studies or comments you would like VODG to feed into NHSE please let us know by 10 April.
