‘More than a provider’ at Social Care Future

Social Care Future is a national initiative designed to bring about positive change in the sector. VODG’s involvement builds on earlier contributions to Civil Society Futures, the national independent inquiry into English civil society.

The focus of the VODG member led session is on providers working beyond contracts and being assets within their communities, collaborating to deliver social change.

Providers leading the session include: Certitude, Choice Support, Community Integrated Care, Camphill Village Trust, Future Directions, Imagine, Act and SucceedMacIntyre, Options for Supported Living and Together Trust. The session will be focused on identifying clear actions and next steps and will contribute to VODG’s ongoing focus on sector development. The event will be held at the People’s History Museum in Manchester on 14 November, 11.45–13.00. Registration is free but bookings should be made via email to: [email protected] (reference ‘more than a provider').Read VODG’s earlier discussion paper, Challenges can fuel change, which outlines what social care providers believe are the future hopes for the sector as well as the barriers that block progress.
