The future of civil society and disabled people's services
Set against the context of significant pressures on disability services – including funding, workforce and policy implementation concerns – an important focus for VODG’s activities is on progressive approaches that drive positive change.Civil Society Futures is a national conversation framed as a once in a generation look at civil society. The perspective of services that support disabled people are important. So VODG is hosting a conversation with member chief executives and senior directors to share their insight on the challenges and visions as they relate to disability provision.At the event, on 28 November, and as part of VODG’s annual general meeting, members will be joined by Dr Julia Unwin CBE chair of the independent inquiry. The proceedings from the session will form VODG’s submission to the inquiry.
