Deafblind UK
Deafblind UK is looking for new trustees - can you help?
Deafblind UK is a national charity offering specialist services and human support to deafblind people and those who have progressive sight and hearing loss acquired throughout their lives.
In order to strengthen and develop our Board we are looking for new trustees with proven knowledge and experience to effectively contribute to the organisation at Board level. In particular we would welcome new members with backgrounds in fundraising, HR and finance. In supporting us you will contribute to the organisations vision of enabling and empowering deafblind people to live independent lives.
Our Board is predominantly made up of people who are deafblind or have a combined sight and hearing loss. We recognise the unique perspective that this gives the charity and are committed to ensuring that this balance remains. However, we recognise that it is essential for the charity that we have a skilled and effective board so where we cannot recruit deafblind people with the required expertise in a specific area we will invite sighted hearing people to join the board. The Board meets quarterly at our headquarters in Peterborough.
